Yeah! It is baking day! Every year before Christmas we have a day we set aside to plan and bake several sweets to enjoy and share during the Christmas season. Every kid (and mom) gets to help.
This year, each child got to choose 1 desert to make... Each parent did too.... midnight/pepermint cookies, fudge, mexican wedding cakes, cake balls and I can't remember the last one.
They did a good job working together, reading the recipes and making great treats!
No, I didn't let him lick it... but he thought the picture would be cool. This is the start of the cake balls. Looks weird.. but tastes great!
This was a great day (or a little more) The kids are growing so much in their skills in the kitchen. They will probably be mostly in charge of their recipe next year (except for T). :)
